Anniversary getaway...and a bit of news...

On the weekend we celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe that we said our vows six years ago and it seems that time has gone by with super speed, but with good reason, we are really looking forward to the future. In case the pictures didn't give it away (who am I kidding?)...we are expecting! Our new family member will be arriving at the very end of November and we are beyond excited to welcome him or her. We don't know the gender of the baby and we are looking forward to being surprised, although I will admit, it's been hard for me...not knowing.

We spent our last anniversary as just a couple, at a cottage on lake Erie. It was a cold and rainy weekend, but that didn't bother us any as we spent the time inside looking out at the gorgeous views, talking about the future, playing board games and cooking some great meals. It was the perfect way to spend some time together before our lives are changed forever in the best possible way (or worst, depending on who you ask...a sleep deprived parent for example).

I hope you've had a nice weekend too...
